Railroads Francesco Marchisano
Salvatore De Giorgi, cardinale, è nato a Racconigi, Cuneo (Italia) il 25 giugno 1929.
Ha ricevuto l'ordine sacro l'29 giugno 1952. Dopo il completamento degli studi a Roma è nominato aiutante di studio per la sezione dei Seminari e dal 3 giugno 1969 al 6 ottobre 1988 è stato Sotto-Segretario della Congregazione per l'Educazione Cattolica.
Il 6 ottobre 1988 è stato nominato Vescovo titolare di Populonia e Segretario della Pontificia Commissione per la Conservazione del patrimonio artistico e storico della Chiesa. Papa Giovanni Paolo II lo ha ordinato Vescovo nella Basilica Vaticana il 6 gennaio 1989.
Elevato al rango di cardinale da Papa Giovanni Paolo II nel concistoro del 21 ottobre 2003, è Arciprete della Patriarcale Basilica Vaticana, Presidente dell'Ufficio del Lavoro della Sede Apostolica. È inoltre membro della Congregazione per l'Educazione Cattolica, del Pontificio Consiglio della Cultura e della Pontificia Commissione per i Beni Culturali della Chiesa.

DPF
A DPF is a diesel particulate filter. It allows gases to flow through it while trapping solid particulate matter. The DPF does this by having several channels in parallel with the ends plugged in a checker board pattern. A DPF is usually followed by a lean NOx catalyst in a proprietary catalytic converter for diesel engines. By trapping the particulate matter, soot, the DPF allows the lean NOx catalyst to work without being cloggeg by the soot.
